General Dentistry
For an unblemished smile
When we repair teeth affected by decay, we don’t use fillings that contain mercury – an often controversial metal used in traditional amalgam fillings. Instead, they are made from composite resin, which matches your natural teeth and provides an unnoticeable repair.
This hard-wearing material bonds with the tooth to support the remaining structure and prevent further damage.
The advantages
- Better looking than unsightly metal fillings
- Durable
- Less of the tooth structure needs removing prior to placement
To preserve precious teeth
At the Gallery Dental and Implant Centre we always strive to save an infected tooth and this is where root canal treatment can remove infected pulp from inside the tooth to prevent the infection from spreading and possibly leading to tooth loss. We use the latest technology and have a microscope in-house.
Once we have removed the affected pulp with tiny instruments, we seal the tooth so its function is restored and it is protected from further problems.
The advantages
- Can help save a tooth
- Prevents the infection affecting other areas
- Can relieve pain
- Less expensive than having a replacement tooth

The Gallery Dental and Implant Centre are delighted to offer a single appointment for most dental crown appointments.
Previously the treatment of a crown would take place over 2 appointments, the first appointment would be to take an impression of your tooth and then send the impression off to a dental laboratory technician to make the crown. Meanwhile a temporary crown would be made and a further appointment booked a couple of weeks later.
Now, using the latest technology, for most teeth, we are able to prepare and fit the crown all in one appointment. In-house we have our very own milling machine (Cerec is a sophisticated CAD/CAM system for the production of all ceramic crowns).
The benefits to you are:-
- Same Day Crowns in one appointment
- Crowns are tailor-made using a digital scanner rather than messy impression taking.
- A porcelain crown can strengthen the existing tooth
